Houssam Nasrawin is the chief executive officer of Gulf Development Company, an investment and advisory firm based in Abu Dhabi. The company invests in SMEs mainly in Europe and supports international companies to penetrate the GCC markets and the Levant mainly Jordan. He is the president and founder of Arab Business Leaders, a business platform that bridges the GCC countries to Europe by encouraging business and entrepreneurship initiatives. In 2011, Houssam co-founded the consulting firm Mideast Capital. He previously worked in private equity in Dubai being in charge of the investments for the African and the MENA regions. He also worked for Pechel Industries Partners, a private equity firm based in Paris. Before that he joined the investment banking departments in London and Paris of La Société Générale and Credit Agricole. Since 2012, Houssam has been active in cultural dialogues between Europe and the MENA region. He has also been mentor and investors for entrepreneurship initiatives mainly to support young entrepreneurs in the Middle East to launch their companies. Houssam is an adviser for Hyseo Energy, Arkema, Phoenix International, 1640 Group and Al Dar international.
